Find out how you react
before the gun.
Caffeine is personal. 111 mg lands very differently on someone who drinks three coffees a day and someone who drinks none, and 30 km into a marathon you have trained six months for is the wrong place to learn which one you are. One sachet. $4. Test it on a hard session.

Caffeine is not one dose fits all.
Habitual coffee drinkers barely register 111 mg. People who avoid caffeine can feel it as a jittery stomach and a heart rate that will not settle. Both are normal, and the only way to find out which you are is to take one, once, somewhere it does not cost you a result.
So take it on a hard training session at goal effort. If it works, the packs are further down this page. If it does not, you are out four dollars rather than a box of nine more you will never open.
One sachet a day is the label limit, so a single is a complete, honest test rather than a sample of something you would need several of.

Why it behaves differently.
- — 01Caffeine from guarana111 mg from guarana extract and coffee rather than synthetic anhydrous caffeine, for a smoother rise.
- — 02The same maple engine53.3% Quebec Grade A maple water and 27 g of carbohydrate. Carbs for the legs, caffeine for the head.
- — 03Still runnier than honeySame thin formulation as the Original, so it goes down mid effort instead of sitting in your throat.
One sachet, timed properly.
The marathon window
This is what it was built for. Caffeine peaks in your bloodstream roughly 30 to 45 minutes after you take it, so a sachet at 28 km lands where the race is decided.
Or before you start
For a time trial, a hard interval session or a pre-dawn run, take it fifteen minutes before instead. Same effect, earlier in the effort.
One a day, no more
The Australian label caps this at one sachet per day. For everything else in a long session, use the caffeine free Original alongside it.
The usual pairing: Original sachets on the hour through the race, one Caffeine 110 saved for the point where it stops being fun.
An Olympian reached for it. Nobody paid her to.
At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Korean table tennis player Shin Yu-bin was filmed taking a yohemite gel between matches. It was not a sponsorship and not a paid placement — she had packed it herself. The moment went out live, the clip spread, and the gel sold out in Korea. She appears in yohemite's Korean marketing today, but she found it first.

The questions that decide it.
How much caffeine is 111 mg, really?
About a strong cup of brewed coffee, or roughly one and a half espressos. It comes from guarana extract and coffee powder rather than synthetic anhydrous caffeine, so the rise is smoother and there is less of a cliff afterwards.
When exactly should I take it?
Caffeine peaks in your bloodstream 30 to 45 minutes after you take it, so take it before you need it. In a marathon that means 28 to 32 km. For a shorter hard session, 15 minutes before you start.
Can I take more than one in a session?
No. The Australian label limits this to one sachet per day. If you are fuelling repeatedly through a long effort, take the caffeine free Original on the hour and save this one for the decisive stretch.
Who should not take it?
Children under 15, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone sensitive to caffeine. If you take medication, have a heart condition, or are unsure, speak to your doctor or dietitian first. Count it towards your total daily caffeine from all sources.
What does it taste like, and does it need water?
Light maple sweetness with a subtle coffee note. It is the same thin formulation as the Original, so it goes down without a drink station — though with caffeine on board, drinking water alongside it is a good idea anyway.
